1 year and 3 months since the announcement & still nada. For ambient occlusion they could increase the sample count and generally improve it so that it doesn't look like a graphical downgrade by turning it on. Maybe implement true HDR or a improved version of the one in game. Idol already mentioned that draw distance was going to improve but i'd imagine they would also improve the HDR and ambient occlusion settings because of how poorly implemented they are. I wouldn't be surprised if the graphics were spruced up a bit for the re-release. I think OP enjoys the graphics of the first game more because it isn't nearly as desaturated.

SR1 will never be available on PC and SR2 isn't getting a remaster, it's getting a bug fix patch, not a graphics update. You might be confusing the two games around but you should try looking at the comments.Īlso it's a shame they won't remaster Saint Row 2 considering it's the one everybody likes.Īnyway, it's a pointless conversation. Or plenty of comparison videos to show that 2 is better:Īnyway, it's a pointless conversation. You can dig up 12 year old conversations about this if you really need another opinion: They are practically the same game, just 2 is an upgrade in every possible way. It's the same map and areas just upgraded. Just one look at that video and you can see how much improved 2 is compared to 1. Saints Row 2 was built using an upgraded version of the same engine and released in 2008.

What is there to joke about? Saints Row is from 2006. I can't tell if you're actually joking or not If you think 1 looks better than 2 it's purely your faulty memory. Originally posted by Kunovega:SR 2 is built on top of SR1, it's literally an extension of the same game in a modified version of the engine.
